Van Horn Texas

Last night we spent the night at a rest stop. It means we spent about 17 hours at the rest stop. For the entire time we had a big semi runninghis engine for his air conditioning. We would have liked to open our windows but the exhaust from his truck was too much. When Paul took off this morning I was more than ready to leave the rest stop. Paul's route today did not lead itself to meeting him for lunch so I took off and went strait to this campground. It is a KOA aand we plan to be here for 2 nights so Paul can rest on Sunday. I was able to listen to conference this morning and since we will not be where there is a church for us to attend it is good that this week is conference. Paul rode about 100 miles today and this afternoon we heard the high today was 90 degrees. I must admit I worry about Paul riding when it is so hot. He got to camp at about 4:00 and we jumped in the pool to cool off. The water in the pool was quite cool but it felt good on what seemed like a hot day to us. Since we have electricity at this site I was able to run the air conditioner and spent most of the day on the computer or reading. It is starting to cool down nicely now and I think Paul and I will take a lillte walk. There is supposed to be a fish pond or something at the edge of the camp. It is nice to kow that we don't have to move tomorrow. They have a little cafe here and we had a nice supper there so no cooking or cleanup tonight. It looks like a nice sunset so I better get out there and see it.
