Kerrville to Wimberley
Lasr night at about 1:00 in the morning we were awakened by a thunderstorm and rain shower. It really came down for about 20 mins or so. Then it moved on. When we woke up this morning the air was cool and the skies were clear. The front that came through was from the north and it brought dry air behind it. It is so nice to have the humidity gone. I think the high was in the low 80"s and tonight it is supposed to be in the 40"s. That is going to make sleeping much nicer. This morning when I got up the host said we had been under a tornado watch while the front went through. This morning I used the gps to find my way to this town. I thought I might not able to meet up with Paul but we ended up going through the same town at pretty close to the same time so we met up for lunch. Then I went on and set up camp. It was so nice to set up camp and be able to open the windows and be outside without being too hot.The terrain has changed from the arid western Texas and now there are more trees and even some of the land has some green in the grass. I must admit I think this part of Texas is much prettier. I guess I am a tree girl at heart. This evening Paul and I walked down to the river a couple of blocks away and sat under a tree and the weather was just about perfect. We watched some kids playing in the river. There was a small bank there that went down into the water and it must have been mossy because they would stand on it and slid right down into the water. It was only about knee deep. It looked like they were having fun. Tonight we have cable so I think we are going to watch Harrys' Law.
