Defuniak Springs to Monticello

Our night at Defuniak Springs ended up producing a nice thundershower. The humidity was very high and Jean and Andrew ended up sleeping on the floor of our trailer. They did good and with the air conditioner going all night we kept cool enough to sleep. Yesterday we stopped at the Florida Caverns state park and had lunch and took a tour of the cave there. It was really neat. If you want to see pictures look at Pauls journal entry. After the shower during the night the front brought in cooler and drier air. Last night we didn't even need the air conditioner and today the weather was perfect for me. The shade was very pleasant and the drive was as well. It is hard on Andrew to sit in the car seat for a couple of hours but he is doing well. I am sure it is a strain on Jean to try to keep him happy during that time. We stayed at a Corp of Eng. campground last night. It was located on a very nice lake. The campground was very nice and the weather was nice as well. I think I slept all night through, one of the very few nights that I have done so. When we were pulling into the area where we thought we were going to camp I drove down the road to the very end looking for a campground that was in one of our books. Some guy in his car saw me and realized that I was lost. He followed me and helped me figure out where I could camp. It seems like everytime we are in need of a guardian angel one shows up. I think someone is watching out for us. When I got to the campground last night Paul did not know where we were going to be camping. I walked down to the lake and I was able to get cell phone reception and get ahold of Paul to tell him where we were. Back at camp he could not call me because of poor reception. We found each other and are still on the path that leads to St Augustine.
