Barnes Park, Eastport Mi

Today we moved futher North. This area of the country doesn't have so many small towns as some of the areas we have been through. The only real town we went through was Traverse City. It gave me a chaance to stop at Wal Mart and get some groceries. It is cherry season here and as I drove I saw many fields of cherry trees filled with cherries. There were a number of fruit stands along the road and I stopped and bought a homemade cherry pie. I guess Michigan is known for its tart cherries. It was sunny for most of the day but it has clouded up and there is a chance of  showers tonight. We are camped along Lake Michigan tonight. It is a big lake and we took a little stroll along the sandy beach. The water looked pretty clear, at least in this area.
