Closer to La

Today I hated to leave the beach at Refugio. I went down and watched the sun shining on the waves. Then I headed out and spent much of the drive on freeways. I went through Santa Barbara, and Oxnard where I got back on Hwy 1. Tonight we tried to eat outside but there were too many pesky flies and some agressive squirrels and birds. We decided to eat our burgers inside. I am still trying to decide the best way to get through LA. I hope we will find a camping site at our next destination. As we get close to the weekend I am more concerned about that. Paul seems to be holding up well even though he has some serious sunburn on his legs. He got some sunscreen today but it is too late for now. Everything seems to be going according to plan and I am doing better now that I am not on those challenging roads on the coast. It is a different challenge being on the freeways but one I seem to be able to handle better. Only a couple of more days and we will be making a left turn to Florida.
