Blythe to Salome Arizona
Today we left California. We have really been traveling through the desert. There have been many saguaro cactus as welll as other cactus. The weather has been great for traveling. The high was about 66 according to the truck and not a cloud in the sky. It is so much dryer here than at home that when Paul took his shower within about an hour his washclothe was dry and that was inside the trailer. Tonight we are camping at a community RV park. It is pretty nice except the water is not potable except in the drinking fountain. That is a bit disappointing since we hoped to fill up our tanks. Hopefully we can do that tomorrow. We used paper goods for dinner tomight since we don't have amply water to wash dishes in. We feell like we need to save it for drinking. Tomorrow we head for Phoenix. I am planning on taking our trailer in for a little repair job. I hope I can find the place. I will have to trust my gps. We are slowly making our way across the country. Paul is strong and doing well. Tonight he resembles a snake since he is peeling from his sunburn. I think he is doing a better job of sunscreen now.
