St Augustine to Yulee

Today we are back on the road again. Paul left about 7:15 from our campsite. A couple of hours later he called and said the wind was pushing him along faster than he expected so I picked up camp and got on the road. Our plan was to meet at the St Johns river ferry. He got there before I did but he waited and we rode across together. Our route took us along some of the barrier islands along the Florida coast. We crossed several bridges. I went through a couple of rain showers but Paul missed getting caught in heavy rain. As we headed inland from the coast the road became very busy and our campground was not easy for me to find. I ended up making several mistakes and had to turn around and make u-turns a few times but finally I found it. Paul arrived an hour or so later. We have been having a slow leak in one of the tires on the truck so we took it in to see what could be done about it. It turns out it had a sharp nail in it. We got it repaired and bought some groceries. The other day we had some real good watermelon so we dicided to try another one with our dinner tonight. It was good. Today I saw signs for fresh juicy peaches. I could hardly believe it since in Oregon we don't have fresh peaches until August. I did not get any today but I am thinking I need to check this out as we enter Georgia tomorrow.
